    Reporting to the Chief Engineer for Research and Technology within the Engineering Function, this Electrical Engineering position will be responsible for leading the design and development of new electrical motor/generator topologies. The role includes direct reports of different engineering disciplines.

    • Responsible for leading the design and developing of new products, new processes and new suppliers with relevant company standards, practices and procedures.
    • Leads others to perform detailed analysis. Leads and identifies commercial design tools as well as leads the development of in house design methods.
    • Responsible for detailed planning and plan delivery on in house projects as well as University or Supplier based projects.
    • Day to day management of the team members work plans/activities/development and assessment of quarterly/yearly performance
    • Acts as technical expert for design problems associated with Electrical Machines.
    • Communicates frequently with other global entities mainly within engineering function. Occasionally manages work globally.
    • Works with a reasonable measure of autonomy, with minimal supervision and/or guidance relating to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters.

    You should ideally have a PhD related to the design of electrical machines or be a Chartered Engineer status. You should also have expert knowledge of electrical machines with excellent communication skills and demonstrable experience in managing people. Knowledgeable on Intellectual Property issues is desirable.
