The successful candidate with be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Supporting workshop assembly/installations and liaise with project engineers
- Planning and implementing quality inspections of equipment with portable CMM (faro arm and faro laser tracker)
- Support maturation of equipment to the production line
- Supporting project engineers at the project planning stages
- Support customer with build quality during trial stages
- Equipment commissioning
- Building of jigs, fixtures and machines from assembly drawings and CAD models
- Investigate route cause of quality concerns
- Contractor supervision
- Creation of documentation for shipping evaluations
- Quality checks on outside supplied equipment

The ideal candidate for this role will have a BTEC, City and Guilds or similar in mechanical engineering and have experience in:

- Understanding of engineering drawings. (Paper and CAD)
- Building of jigs, fixtures and bench fitting
- Implement and improve standard quality systems
- Operation of Portable CMM or quality inspection
- Computer literate
- System up and maturation of equipment
- Autocad or basic Catia operations
