Our client, a leading Swindon based manufacturer is currently wishing to employ an Mechanical Engineer with previous experience in Robots, Robotic systems and tooling.
We are searching for a practical hands on engineer to assemble, install and commission equipment, ranging from small one off items to new tooling or complete automated production cells with particular emphasis on robots and robotic systems.
The successful candidate with be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Integration of propriety equipment to robot systems
- Supporting workshop assembly/installations
- Support robot teaching and trials
- Building of jigs, fixtures and machines from assembly drawings
- Equipment commissioning
- Trouble shooting and fault finding on automated equipment.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a BTEC, City and Guilds or similar in mechanical engineering and have experience in:

- Understanding of engineering drawings. (Paper and CAD)
- Building of jigs, fixtures and bench fitting
- Robot teaching and programming
- Be computer literate
- System up and maturation of equipment
- Use of Motoman/Fanuc
- Robotic system integration
- Autocad or basic Catia operations
