    A new vacancy for a Production Engineering Manager with specialist electronics company offering a wide range of leading edge instrumentation products to customers in process industries around the world.

    The company is planning for a major growth in sales over the next 3-5 years whereby the company would expect to more than double its worldwide sales over this period. To ensure success they are now looking to appoint an experienced Production Engineering Manager with a proven track record leading small manufacturing teams in specialist electronics production environments. This will be a senior appointment with opportunity for board level responsibility within a relatively short period of time.

    With 80% of its production outsourced, the Company requires an experienced electronics production manager capable of managing a small team of specialist engineers, mainly involved in prototype production, Test and Calibration of the company\'s product range.

    The Production Engineering Manager will report in directly to the MD and will require the following skills: -

    - Experience of working with a product design team, to bring new products through into full production. Advising as necessary, to ensure that products under design are suitable for manufacture and will meet their design goals.
    - Be capable of managing a small preproduction and sub-assembly team.
    - Experience of ATE design and use.
    - Full understanding of the latest Analogue/Digital electronic circuit technology.
    - She/he will be computer literate having had experience of Computer controlled production management systems and be fully aware of ISO 9000 and other BS/European/worldwide electronics manufacturing standards.
    - She/he will be responsible for the development and maintenance of all in-house pre-production, test and calibration facilities, service /repair facilities, component and completed products stores, goods in/out facilities, purchasing/scheduling of product invoicing working in cooperation with the MD.
    - Educated to Degree level with a minimum of 5-10 years electronics production management experience, the candidate is expected to be ambitious with potential to take up a position on the Board of Directors within a relatively short period of time.
