Production Planner

This well known specialist manufacturer has an opportunity for a production planner to join their manufacturing engineering team.

The company operates within a low volume high value manufacturing environment exporting 80% of their production into a variety of sectors. The order book is strong and the company has continued to grow even through the recent recession.

The position of production planner is a key appointment within the team and is noteworthy as the position also includes purchasing responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified mechanical engineer ideally with a production planning background. Preference is given to a person who is personable/ team player/ well organised/ good multi-tasker/ calm under pressure/ able to make consistent practical judgement calls and happy working in a small office environment.
