Sales Support & Applications Engineer (Process instrumentation) - Buckinghamshire
Basic salary £30-35,000 (depending on experience) + bonus, private healthcare and pension

A new vacancy for a Sales & Applications Engineer with specialist engineering firm offering a range of leading edge flow measurement solutions to customers in process industries around the world.

Working within the Sales Department the Sales Support & Applications Engineer will deal directly with the distributors and end users to help solve installation, application and operational problems. Commercial queries for customers in the export market also need to be supported. Further responsibilities will include organising the repair and replacement of defective and damaged products within the UK, managing maintenance agreements for UK customers, organising and/or participating in training sessions held in the UK and overseas, visiting customer’s premises for hands-on training and problem-solving when necessary, assisting with the formulation, distribution and maintenance of operation manuals, application notes and other types of technical support literature in both hard copy and digital format.

Candidates must be qualified to degree/HND level in an engineering discipline with first-rate knowledge of Fluid Mechanics, and a good basic understanding of the need and application of instrumentation used for the direct control and management of hydraulic systems. Experience dealing with either UK or international distributors/end users, and of working overseas, would also be advantageous. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a degree of commercial expertise, coupled with well-developed interpersonal skills and an effective and comfortable telephone manner. Full product training will be provided.
