A new vacancy for a Scientific Recruitment/HR Executive with leading international provider of scientific software engineering and consulting services. Operating in the UK, US and the Netherlands, and currently employing approx 200 staff in total, the company has an on-going plan to recruit technical software engineering staff across all its branches, coupled with a programme to grow its sales and support teams.

Reporting to and working closely with the HR Manager, you will interview and select candidates for technical roles, focusing primarily on the company’s needs in the US. You will have a scientific / technical background so that you can relate to our candidates, who all come from strong academic science and engineering environments, usually qualified to MSc or PhD level. You will assess candidates’ abilities from CVs and from interviews, and determine their cultural fit with the company. Previous experience of recruitment is desirable, though not essential as training will be provided. Enthusiasm, motivation and fit with the company’s culture are most important. The role could be either full-time or part-time to suit the ideal candidate.

    About You:
This will be a challenging role for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person with:
    • A good academic record (minimum 2.1 degree) from a scientific or numerate discipline
    • An ability to engage with a wide variety of people
    • A real interest in science and technology and the application of IT within these sectors
    • Proven communication and organizational skills
    • Knowledge of the US recruitment market, or experience working in the US, would be useful (although not essential).
    • Experience of interviewing and selecting technical staff would also be an advantage, although full training will be provided

Excellent long-term career opportunities will be available for the right candidate with this leading international science & technology company.
